Behind the scenes farm tour

Get a behind the scenes look at dairy farming!

Have you ever scene all the cows up close and personal while they are out eating their grass? Ever wonder how everything works on the farm?? What does the feed look like before it's mixed, how does it get to the cows, what is a silage pile? All those questions you have about taking care of the cows will be answered on the Behind the Scenes Farm Tour. First we will take the Traditional Tour (history of farm, how we raise the baby calves, milking a cow by hand, watching cows being milked, and tasting our organic butter). Next, we will take a wagon ride around the farm. While in the wagon, we will visit the feeding area, silage pile, composting area, nutrient storage ponds and visit the cows out in their pasture! By the time we complete this extensive tour everyone will have a more complete understanding of what it takes to take care of our Girls.

This tour is recommended for participants 13 years and older, and will be approximately 3 hours long.
